Tales of the Antichrist

Dahlia received a large package from Italy. By that time, she had transformed Rota Refacta into a worldwide humanitarian organization. Her pamphlets on faith and Christian living were gaining renown.

The package was a painting by her brother, who had enrolled in an art school in Florence. He said in his letter that the art of Rome had "devastated" him. It was a trauma of beauty. His only method of coping was to create art himself.

The painting was primitive but exciting. A man tangled up in a tree. She immediately treasured it. This was her brother, struggling to express himself, and transforming in the process.

A glorious pain spread across her forehead and then gripped her entire skull. "I am in the cup of God's loving hands," she thought.
