The next day, Sarah called home.

"Hey, it's Sarah. Pick up."

"Hi, Sarah."

"Listen, um, are you sitting down?"

"Uh no."

"Okay, well, brace yourself. There was some talk around the office and I checked it out. Your parents are going to be on TV tonight."

"I know. The Junior Show."

"Oh. You found out?"

"I called them yesterday. You know, to tell them. But obviously they knew already."

"You didn't say anything to me."

"I don't know what this means. I don't know if it means anything."

"You didn't say a thing."

"They can have shows. They can decide who I am, what I am. They can make it up."

"You didn't tell me."

"Right. I didn't tell you."

Silence.

"Well, why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I'm not going to worry about it. I'm not going to see it."

"Oh yeah? Well, I'm going to see it."

"Okay."

"Yeah, okay. That's right, okay."

"Okay."

"All right. I'm busy. I'll see you tonight."

"Okay. Bye."

"Good-bye."
